I wrote a piece on Broadway for Man’s World magazine.
“I work on Broadway” is sort of a poorer cousin of the euphemism “I work on Wall Street”. However, the latter has come to mean anything from little financial PhD geniuses in Powai doing outsourcing work to Bloomberg terminals on yachts of Saudi playboys in Monaco. Ergo, more an idea than a real place (only JP Morgan is on Wall Street). Broadway is about 15 streets (40th to 54th) and three avenues (7th to 9th) and anyone who tells you they are on Broadway should essentially be within this rectangle.
There’s more than geography in the article. Click here to read/download the piece.
